Broadband Properties Recognizes World Wide Packets For Third Straight Year as a Top Company to Watch
Award Honors North American Companies for Their Influence on Technology
Spokane Valley, WA, August 27, 2007 – World Wide Packets, a leading provider of Carrier Ethernet solutions, today announced that it has been named one of Broadband Properties' Top 100 Companies to Watch in 2007, an award that recognizes companies for their contributions in broadband innovation. World Wide Packets' ongoing commitment to delivering innovative, high quality Carrier Ethernet products and solutions combined with its broad customer base and strong partner relationships has led to its selection for the third year in a row.
“Each year Broadband Properties recognizes the industry's most innovative companies that are leading the future of cable and telecommunications technology information,” said Broadband Properties president and CEO Scott DeGarmo. “World Wide Packets was once again selected as a Top 100 Company for their continued dedication to shaping the future direction of internet access.”
World Wide Packets has seen tremendous success over the past year by developing industry defining technologies that significantly strengthened its customer and business partner base. The following highlights have contributed to World Wide Packets' success in the past year:

- In April, World Wide Packets was selected by Iowa Health Systems, one of the countries largest and most technically advanced multi-state health networks, to power their unified healthcare services network. This advanced network provides reliable fast access to medical records along with healthcare services and a breadth of healthcare facility resources.

PBT has emerged as a leading component in the next phase of Carrier Ethernet delivery and World Wide Packets worked closely with its customers to integrate crucial PBT support into its offerings, enabling the highest quality delivery of Carrier Ethernet service available today.
- In early 2007, World Wide Packets launched the LightningEdge 3300 Service Aggregation Switch and Ethernet Services Manager™ 5.0, which together have re-defined the delivery and management of carrier class Ethernet services. The solutions allow service providers to streamline costs, while improving quality of service.
- Last fall, World Wide Packets announced that Sierre-Energie -- a power utility and communications service provider in Switzerland -- selected the Company for feature-rich Ethernet services over its broadband fiber to the home (FTTH) network. These capabilities will allow Sierre-Energie to deliver “triple play” services, including IPTV, to its 30,000 business and residential users.
“It is an honor to be recognized for the third straight year as one of Broadband Properties' Top 100 Companies,” said Dave Curry, president and CEO of World Wide Packets. “This award further validates the work being done at World Wide Packets to deliver products and solutions that provide the fastest, most reliable and cost-efficient Ethernet services available.
