LightningEdge® Service Concentration Switch Family
Configuration Flexibility
The Service Concentration family of switches from World Wide Packets aggregates Ethernet traffic from edge devices for transport outside the local geographic network. The Service Concentration Switches are architected to support large numbers of subscribers in a single platform and can deliver voice, video, or data services to any of these subscribers.
Service Concentration Switches each support high density Gigabit Ethernet configurations, with 16 optical ports of 1 Gbps or 24 optical 100 Mbps ports (SFP optics orderable separately). SFP (Small Form-Factor Pluggable) interfaces deliver the advantages of ease-of-use, interoperability, and flexibility of connecting devices up to 100Km over single mode fiber.

The LE-427 and LE-327 deliver functionality in a very space-efficient 1 RU (1.75”/44.2 mm) size. The Service Concentration Switches also support very flexible power configurations. The LE-427 and LE-327 deliver pluggable redundant AC or DC power with 2 power supply slots for increased reliability and availability. To further increase system resiliency, the LE-427 also supports redundant fans.
